About Spinemobility
Spinemobility is a not-for-profit research and resource centre that develops, tests, and disseminates innovative programs and tools aimed at maximizing function, improving quality of life, and reducing the risk of disability caused by spinal and other musculoskeletal disorders.
All profits from Spinemobility are reinvested to support our research programs.







How we help practitioners
We provide them with the knowledge, skills, tools and self-confidence to implement our evidence-based programs.

How we help individuals
We educate and empower with online courses, workbooks, tools and other resources. These can be used in conjunction with a trained practitioner or on a self-directed basis.

Who is Dr. Carlo Ammendolia DC, PhD?
Director of the Spine Clinic and Spinal Stenosis Program at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada. Holds MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Toronto. Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto.
Author of over 70 peer-reviewed publications and the chapter on back pain in the Oxford Textbook of Medicine. Designated a “World Expert” in Spinal Stenosis.
Current Positions: Director of the Spine Clinic and the Spinal Stenosis Program at the Rebecca MacDonald Centre for Arthritis and Autoimmune Diseases, Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Canada.
Academic Roles: Assistant Professor at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto, Assistant Professor at the Department of Surgery, University of Toronto, Associate Member of the Institute of Medicine, University of Toronto, Adjunct Scientist at the Institute for Work & Health, Faculty Member of the University of Toronto Spine Program, Faculty Member of the University of Toronto Musculoskeletal Centre.
Educational Background: MSc in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research from the University of Toronto, PhD in Clinical Evaluative Sciences from the University of Toronto, Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
Publications and Contributions: Author of 70 peer-reviewed articles. Contributor to several academic book chapters on back and neck pain, including the chapter “Back Pain and Regional Disorders” in the Oxford Textbook of Medicine.
